History

The beginning
There has been a Church of Scotland Congregation in Toryglen since the estate began to be built in the early 1950’s. The first services were held in the workmen’s hut in Kerrylamont Ave. There was no church hall at that time. We then had our own Hut Hall, where Thistle Housing is today.
The congregation worked hard and the foundation stone in the North wall, was laid in May 1953.  The opening dedication service in September 1954 was broadcast by the BBC. Read more …

Our Parish Grouping
Toryglen Church is part of a parish grouping with our neighbours in Kings Park and Croftfoot Parishes.
Croftfoot UF Church is also an informal member of our group
We have regular worship and social events together


Our Vision

The Congregation
Toryglen Church is a small friendly congregation of local Christians.
The aim of the church is to serve God:
Through a warm and active church life and
Through serving their parish community in Christ’s name
Everyone is welcome to all services and events in Toryglen Church.
